MHTML Viewer - Open MHT Web Archives on Android
An MHTML file holds a complete web page in a single document: the markup, the images and the styles are stored together using the same MIME encoding that email attachments use. Browsers write these files when a page is saved as .mht or .mhtml, and they are common wherever pages must be archived exactly as they appeared.
Android has no default handler for the format, so an MHTML file cannot normally be opened there. Inside your own app, one REST call to GroupDocs.Viewer Cloud renders the saved page as HTML, PDF, JPG or PNG output. Obtained through Gradle or Maven, the Java SDK wraps that request in a few lines, and code samples are included.
Rendered output comes with page navigation, zoom and thumbnails, a single archived page can be rendered by itself, and more than 180 further formats are accepted by the same endpoint. That helps when an archive folder mixes MHT files with PDFs and images.
For one file, the free online GroupDocs.Viewer app opens MHTML directly in the browser. Developers receive a free trial, and the API Explorer runs the same calls from a browser page.
