An OXPS file is an OpenXPS document, a fixed-layout page format standardized as ECMA-388. Windows produces it with the Microsoft XPS Document Writer, a virtual printer that has been part of Windows since Vista and that saves in OXPS by default from Windows 8 onward. Many such files are receipts, forms and reports printed to a file instead of paper.

Outside Windows few programs read the format, and Android is no exception. The REST API of GroupDocs.Viewer Cloud returns OXPS pages as HTML, PDF, JPG or PNG renditions, and zoom, thumbnails and page navigation accompany the result. Documents locked with a password are accepted as well.
