STL Viewer API for Android - Render 3D Model Files
STL is the Stereolithography format, created by 3D Systems for the first stereolithography printers and still the most common way to exchange 3D printable models. An STL file describes a model as a mesh of triangles, and normal document or image apps on Android cannot show it. The GroupDocs.Viewer Cloud REST API renders an STL model as HTML pages, as a PDF, or as JPG and PNG images, so your app can show a preview without a 3D engine on the device.
Both Maven and Gradle serve the Android SDK for Java, and its samples cover the main calls. Thumbnails give users a quick look at a model library, and the rendered output carries zoom and page navigation as well. STL sits beside more than 180 other supported formats, so the same code path also opens drawings and documents.
