XLSB Viewer: Open XLSB Files Online or in PHP
XLSB stores an Excel workbook in a binary layout rather than the XML used by XLSX. Files open and save faster and take less disk space, which is why large models and exports from accounting systems are often saved this way. The trade is compatibility: many tools that read XLSX cannot read XLSB.
GroupDocs.Viewer Cloud reads the workbook and renders its sheets as HTML, PDF, JPG or PNG. The recipient sees the cells, the numbers and the formatting in a browser without Excel, and password-protected workbooks are opened once the password accompanies the request.
In PHP the SDK wraps those calls with Composer installation and plain method calls, so a portal, an intranet page or a customer-facing report can display spreadsheets that visitors have uploaded. Zoom, page navigation and thumbnails are part of the rendered output.
For a single workbook the free online viewer is enough. A free trial is available where the same rendering belongs inside an application.
